planet rhythm latest vinyl contribution comes by rennes based producer berg jaär. berg comes as a true addition to the ever growing prruk reportoire. firm drums and sturdy fx serve as the backbone of his contribution. with little info to be found about the french producer this release serves as the perfect example of the adventurous mode that planet rhythm currently finds itself in. moody yet intrusive in many ways.

paying homage to classic house music without sounding stale, heres two well crafted dancefloor gems. veg city on the a-side has a powerful bass & rhythm track with a slick keyboard groove. dna testing on the flip is a warm hypnotic cut with a nice moog’d out early morning vibe.

eleventh and conclusive ten inch of the la series comes from two thirds of the sa-ra creative partners shafiq husayn and om mas keith. working solo on each side shafiq is first with seven minutes of funk split into three parts. >dna splice mix< is an intense mix of hip hop and funk beats, chopped vocals, jazz and soul combining to form an infectious for-the-heads downtown la sound. flipping over om mas goes uptown and gives us a more polished sound with a leftfield r n b - hip hop vocal track >girls a player<. instrumental plus accapella included for potential remixers.
